Someone was able to use it to reply to my IMs yesterday (2/28/07) without a problem.

Responded to lots of IM's via email whilst at work today (and every other day) so must only be isolated to some players rather than all.

I'm having the same problem Raymond. It could be that you're using a Hotmail email address. Read the following details, provided by James Linden: * Outbound IM to email works for Hotmail * Inbound email to IM does not work for Hotmail * The email addresses use mixed case (UpAndDown). Hotmail appears to convert all sent email to use only lower case. http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=411 This is my problem exactly. Thanks for the link. |

I've had just two emails, two days in a row, sent to me offline from IM's inworld both saying that the recipient (me?) is in busy mode with standard busy mode message (I am offline) My busy message is different.
I IM the sender and they have not sent anything to me. Like a crossed telephone line maybe. _____________________

I use fastmail. I'm going to try creating a new email account somewhere. Anyone have a suggestion for one that works with the new addresses?

I was wondering- how do you know its not working?
Because ive been sending them for like 3 days with no 'error' but now im unsure if everyone received their response. If it wasnt working, do you get error messages? |

yes, I get immediate error messages. I just switched to a rock.com email account and it works. It was my fastmail email that could not handle the new address configuration.
