Okay, here is a question for you old timers out there. Who was the first artist to set up in Second Life? I mean, offer artworks for sale in SL that were original. Does anyone have some of the original art? Information would be appreciated. I am an SL art collector and would love to see some of the first work done here.

I was thinking along wider, but similar lines. SL has a history and there must be objects that are now rare 'antiques', verifiable by the creator's name. There must also be some historic sites too - perhaps there should be a preservation movement devoted to acquiring and caring for historic SL items. Unless one exists already, that is!

Try the history museum in Phobos... the white, tri-level, building on the NE part of the region.

An "architectural heritage" group once tried to save Svarga but if memory serves correctly it was eventually saved by kind people donating tier. SL has also spawned a few creative legends (like Starax) with groups celebrating their work and buying up all known pieces ~ sometimes for display.

Perhaps interested parties should start an "historical society"? As a Group? Dedicated to history of SL? Art/Architecture/Events?
