When I tried to come into SL this afternoon, I double clicked on my SL link icon and I got the "Detecting Hardware" window and then the "Loading Second Life" window and then twice I got the "Second Life appears to have crashed...." window. Both times I chose "Don not send" and tried again. The third time I got the first two windows and then nothing. Is anyone else experiencing or has experienced this problem? If so, what can I do about it?

Have you tried rebooting your machine? Uninstalling and reinstalling SL? Uninstalling and updating your graphics card driver? Sound card driver? DirectX?
When a graphics intensive program starts to malfunction, those are usually the first things to check. One more thing (which may or may not sound a little silly) is make sure your machine actually exceeds SL's minimum specs. It's not uncommon for a program running on unsupported hardware to run just fine for a while and then all of a sudden refuse to work anymore.
Beyond that, you got me. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply, Chosen. My machine does exceed the minimum but I guess I'm going to have to uninstall and reinstall....it started acting up right as soon as I logged in for the day so rebooting probably isn't the answer. BTW....do you work for Live Help? LOL
