I've just realised some forum authors are using icons not found in the list below...where do you get them? Also how do you get the icon 'into' your text, I tried dragging it but I just end up with the text version appearing (if you know what I mean) and not the icon itself.

You can quote their posts to see what the smiley looks like in text form.

I tried that but unfortunately I just got the basic text (between quotes) and there doesn't seem to be any reference to icons

Take this smiley for example:  When you quote my post, without sending the quote, you'll see : confused : in the preview, without the spaces. That's the smiley code.

At top left of forums page click User CP; Then click Edit Options, Miscellanious. Change from basic text to one of the advanced options.

Aha..this should work then...  Thanks to both of you, with your help I appear to have it cracked...and I also seem to be seeing thing that weren't there before. |

You can use quite a few 'non keyboard' emotives ingame, using the Alt+number combination, like hearts, faces etc.. ⌂ ╝▓╟ß╬âà墣¥₧ etc.. well better than those actually lol

People would stare in awe at some of my work and wonder how I managed to get things like 20ºC and ¼+½=¾! They'd stare at the keyboard for a couple of minutes or more and eventually come out with "How'd you do that?" LOL Oh and btw, Alt+keypad numbers, not the numerals above qwerty
