I have heard many people voicing concern that they cannot get onto thier own lands because of clubs and casinos that have popped up and are using all the people spots for the sim.

I wonder why LL don't change things so that in any given sim, that each land owner is directly linked to their own land.
ie: If 1 sim has 6 land owners. What this would mean is, if the people limit on that sim 30, there are only 24 possible extra people able to get in at any one time. In otherwords the land owner always will have priority to "go home".

I am sure this could be made possible for LL.
What do the rest of you think?

What if the sim limit were 30 but it had 80 land owners - then land owners still wouldn't always be able to get to their own land

percentage wise there are very few sims that are maxed out a majority of the time, sure it should be fair if you had your land first and then a casino moves into town etc but this isn't a fair system, it's SL, so link your house and move to a quiter sim, just about anywhere else will not be maxed out...

How you going to finance that when presumably your land is going to be pretty much unsellable at a sensible price?

Using up sim resources such that it significantly degrades the use of other's land in the sim is a violation of CS and reportable. I think that for this issue it is better for Lindens dealing with the abusive casino/club owners on a individual basis rather than have some forced policy.

Land-owners can chat with a Linden directly using the support portal. You can also leave a support request, and report users. Since such an issue like this represents an _immediate_ and concurrent disruption of one's land use, you can also IM a Linden directly. To do this, do a avatar search for "linden" and scroll down the list, looking for profiles that have the teleport button enabled. If the button is enabled, the linden is online.

The tools for resolution are there if you use em :)

I had friend who was repeatively not able to access her land even though she owned majority of the sim due to several Casinos and Clubs with smaller lots that had often over 28 campers and guest. She finally was able to track down a Linden and they helped her, but it took several weeks almost a month or two before she got any assistance.

Ohhh if only this worked. Only solution I found to avoid being overrun by FREE SEX "businesses" who use up 100% of the sims resources 99% of the time...was to buy an island to keep them out. 5 times I changed sims, found one without any of the usual culprits (ie: sex clubs, escort services, popular clubs) just to have one move in within the first week. The last sim I was on I couldn't get home half the time, let alone have customers able to go to my store.

Its just too bad you can't summon up a "common sense" or "consideration" spell now and then. We all want to be popular, just some of us want to do it without making everyone elses lives on the sim hell.

If they are keeping people in the sim with camping chairs or other devices then you can AR them - "excessive use of camping chairs" appears on the Blotter from time to time.

However if they are just a good and popular club, then you can't AR them for that - even though the nature of SL means that it damages you :(

It's difficult to know exactly what to do about this, but the "slot booking" for landowners is a good idea. Or, maybe the most recent arrival could be ejected from the sim to let a landowner in? The problem with this is that, as was mentioned above, a sim can have up to 128 landowners if you say 512 parcels are the smallest (with adfarms it could be much more of course but let's not think about them...)
