Hi,

is there a way to stop recieving group IMs / messages in-game? I have unchecked the "Recieve Group Notices" but that doesn't seem to help much.

If there is a way, beyond leaving the groups, I haven't found it. Not that I'm usually in groups that are chatty, thank goodness.

Unchecking "Receive Group Notices" doesn't help because Notices aren't IMs, they are special bulletins that are announced via blue popups in the upper right of your screen.

To stop getting group IMs permanently, you have to leave the group. To stop getting them during any single login session, open the tab for the offending group and look closely at your IM window. In its upper right there are 2 "close window" x's -- one for the entire IM window, and one just for this tab. Close the tab. You may have to do it twice or so, if messages are coming fast and are in a queue enroute. You won't receive any more messages from that group until next time you login. (This was broken for quite a while, but has been fixed now for the last few weeks.)
