I bought the book when I was done reading it I was extremely excited to go into my Second Life. But before I downloaded the program I poped in the CD and I watched a few videos, and then I wanted to download some of the animations and textures but my computer said "Windows Cannont Open This File" "Windows Needs To Know What Program It Came From" can someone help and solve this problem ??

Not got the book but would suggest that texture files will have extensions that need to be associated with Second Life. You say you haven't downloaded yet?

The animatons are probably related to the animation program provided on the Disc (According to the Promotional materials) If you install that software FIRST, then attempt to open the animation files Windows will Now have the definitions Needed to Interpret the Files. If you want to View textures, you will probably need a Program like Photoshop, Photopaint, or Paintshop. These programs will do the same thing,, provide the File extension definitions that Windows needs to read the Files.
I also agree with Bilbo, Download and Install SL, and that should cover any Other files that your system can't recognize.
