All right, I have to ask a dumb question here, and I apologize, but how do you apply color to just one side of a cube-based prim? I can colorize a whole prim easily enough, but can't figure out how to get my nice cheery yellow on the inside wall without making the textured outside wall look like it has acquired some loathsome disease. Can someone please help?
[wishes the knowledge base was easier to use]

Don't apologize, we've all been there-- if you don't ask, you won't learn. When you're in edit, just check the 'select texture' box on the top left-hand side, then click on the face you want to apply the texture or color to. Select the texture or color as usual, and it should be applied to just the face you've selected.

Or drag a texture from your inventory to the face.
Or drag from an open texture to the face.
Or drag from the texture picker to the face.
None of this is working for me 'cuz I can't even rez a box to have a face on.
Pthhht!!!!
