Hi... I am wondering if it is possible to change the way my sim is cut up easily. Like.. monday -> friday I would like it to be cut into several parcles for different videos, but saturday and sunday I'd like it to be all one parcel. ... is there an easy way to switch it back in forth?

I believe you can do that with a .raw file, if you own the whole sim and everything else stays constant.

Don't quote me though, because one mistake with a .raw file and you are really in the soup - you can mash up your whole sim or revert major features to whenever the time was that you grabbed the raw file. Test with caution!

I think the latest I read is LL no longer support the layer of raw file which use to divide the parcel. I tried a few time and doesn't seem to work. If it is supported, it is on layer 5 or 6.. not quite remember the exactly layer number.

You know, it would be nice to have a "Sim configuration" option in the Estate Tools, that is, a list of various parcelling and/or build options to select from. I suspect, however, that's a LOOOOONG ways off.

From a recent technical townhall with Cory:

Jeska Linden: Joel Savard: Has the concept of land-based “state snapshot and restore” been considered - allowing a land-owner to “snapshot” the current configuration of objects on their land? This would allow “what-if” construction work where you could restore the land to a previous state without having to rebuild it…

Cory Linden: Yes, we are actively talking about the right way to do that.

If this idea isn't already a feature suggestion, it'd be smart to put it together the way you'd want to see it, and submit it to the FVT, and start a thread on the feature forum for discussion. It's an absolutely wonderful idea - get your say in now.
