Is it just me or have anyone else's questions in world gone unanswered?? I use Live Help w/ legitimate in world questions and wait and wait and wait to receive no response from the Lindens or even the "helpers". Once night I waited an hour and fifteen minutes for it to tell me no one was on to answer my question. So I searched in Find People to find a Linden that pretty much told me he didn't know wha the hell to tell me and left it at that. Didn't say I'll look into it, I'll ask about it, I'll see what I can find out for you.. Just an I don't know. >: ( Neither did I , or I wouldn't have gone through the trouble tracking a Linden down to ask a damn question.

Tonight, I went to live help to find out why the heck I keep getting shot into space when I stand up from a poseball and this was the answer I received. ( I took the "helper's" name out as to not tick anyone off and replaced it with the apparent "_____".

Also.. If anyone knows why this happens, I'd love if you would share the reason w/ me so I can attempt to avoid the frustration in the future.

[19:34] *** Welcome to Live Help, where our wonderful volunteers assist their fellow Residents with Second Life! ***
Please first check our SL Help Pages by pressing F1.
If your answer isn't there, please enter your question to begin, then allow a few moments for available helpers to respond.
Please don't close Live Help until you're finished. If you don't hear back, you can always try again later.
NOTE: Live Helpers aren't Linden employees, so unless a person responding has the last name 'Linden', answers should be considered unofficial.

[19:35] Rene Adria: Everytime I get up off a poseball I am shot up to like 1300m in the sky and when I eventually come back to where I was, the poseballs I was trying to set up have vanished.
[19:45] Rene Adria: Any way to avoid this?
[19:45] _____: do you have any guns or weapons attached?
[19:46] Rene Adria: No Maam
[19:47] _____: detach all of ur attachments and try and sit
[19:47] Rene Adria: It lets me sit
[19:47] Rene Adria: but when I stand from sitting
[19:47] Rene Adria: I go off world
[19:47] Rene Adria: for a couple of minutes and I end up back where I was
[19:47] Rene Adria: I've tried relogging as well and it still happens
[19:48] Rene Adria: and when I get back to where I was, the poseballs I was working with have poofed lol
[19:48] Rene Adria: didn't get returned to my inv, they just vanish into the abyss that is SL lol
[19:48] _____: go to view and highlight transparent
[19:48] Rene Adria: I have
[19:48] Rene Adria: lol I stay in highlight transparent when working w/ poseballs
[19:49] _____: is it your land?
[19:49] _____: is it your land?
[19:49] Rene Adria: Yes
[19:50] _____: are u there now
[19:50] _____: hmm
[19:50] Rene Adria: like right now i'm at 1, -1, 1296
[19:50] _____: well u cant build objects at that height
[19:50] Rene Adria: and back to where I was again
[19:50] Rene Adria: I know that
[19:50] Rene Adria: When I stand from the poseball
[19:50] Rene Adria: my coordinates end up like that.
[19:51] Rene Adria: It's alright tho, I'll report it because it may be a glitch and i'll tell the scripter about it
[19:51] Rene Adria: ty for your help
[19:51] _____: ok
[19:52] Second Life: _____ has left this session.

Aftere stating my problem twice I leave the conversation frustrated.
Would be nice to have knowledgeable staff... and wow look at that.. Only had to wait ten minutes before I received a reply to my question that time. Look at your "helper" ratio to your residents and fix the problem!

I used to be in the Mentors, I Ran into this trouble before.
Your Pose Ball script is Bugged, Remove it and Get a New one.

There was a similar one, every time someone Sat down on another Pose Ball of the same script type within 100 meters of me, their Ball would request to animate me, If i Clicked Yes, i would freeze, and have to relog, If i clicked no, i would be treated to the same meaasge every fifteen seconds until i stood up.

As for never getting help, No, Never had that problem Myself, But everyone has an Off day once in a while.

Angel.

Live Help, to put it lightly, is useless. I usually have to wait over 30 minutes for a response. I don't understand why Linden say to contact Live Help when there is no response. Many many many times there were griefers caging in sandboxes and infohubs. I contact Live help and asked for the person to be taken care of. It was at least 25 minutes before a linden even said anything. What did they say? "Please be patient, we are busy." Thanks for the help!

same thing with my new bike. if i so much as pop a wheelie to get over a hump in the land, i'm at insane coords and have to relog to fix *that particular* instance, though it happens again anyway.

please let me know where you reported (if you did) and i'll add my L2

p.s. this didn't happen before the 'maintenance' this past wednesday

Live help isn't useless.

It's staffed entirely by volunteers who are VOLUNTEERING to listen to you complain like you're paying them for help. People who are VOLUNTEERING to be attacked and abused by you because they can't immediately help you.

I'm sure your gratitude makes them really happy, btw.

I meant to get a Linden's attention. Yes, I do get answers when I ask general questions, but when I needs Lindens help because there's a griefer or other problems, I never get ahold of them though it.

Live Helpers aren't "staff". They are not LL customer service. They're volunteers who have families, jobs, lives outside sl who for some stupid reason chose to donate their time in second life to help out others. People like you. It's not a service that you pay for. It's just regular residents who try to do their best when they're online to help others for free

LL has shoddy customer service and that's not Live Help's problem. It's Linden Lab's problem. And the more people bitch about Live Help the more likely volunteers are just going to stop even trying to fill the huge void that is LL customer service.

Everyone means to get a Linden's attention. That doesn't excuse rude behavior.

Did I miss something? Was I rude to the helper? I don't think I was.
As for Linden HELPERS... My point was clear and simple. They DONT HELP. I mistakenly misphrased in my original post when I said " Look at your "helper" ratio to your residents and fix the problem!". I should have been more precise and said look at your Linden to resident ratio, because there in lies the problem. They are understaffed and unequipped to handle the mass residency they pushed in upwards of one million. If the helper didn't know the answer to my question, they should have left it open for someone who was capable of answering it. Also, if they are dealing with rl at the time and their family and children, wouldn't it then make sense NOT to attempt to answer any questions until you were able to dedicate their time to the issue?

While I've yet to see this appear on the "Known Issues" page... I'm fairly certain that LL is aware of it. Whether it's actually a full on bug... or unexpected behavior due to the on-going asset/inventory database performance problems.... I couldn't say, but my money is betting on the latter.

I've seen this happen a time or two, usually so briefly that I don't have time to check my co-ords.

If you still see this behavior after LL says the inventory database performance problems are addressed, I'd recommend bug-reporting it.

Most of the time I get zilch from Live Help, though they have answered two questions relatively quickly and completely for me lately.

For about three days now, about 10% of the time I stand on my pose stand in my workshop, I end up in some whacked place. Not getting off, getting *on*. It's bizzare. Only the camera goes underground about half a sim away, and if I press Escape and use mouse handling stuff I can get it above ground and back to my AV which is apparently finally getting settled onthe pose stand. It's insane.

Please be patient. And nice. The original poster was polite which I am sure the VOLUNTEER appreciated. Please also keep in mind, there are so many variables within this game, it is impossible for one person to know every answer to every problem. They are there to help but they are not all-knowing gods. If you are having a problem you can't find an answer for through Live Help, ask on this forum. Chances are, other residents have experienced these problems and have found an answer to work around it. Also, it doesn't HURT to be friends with Lindens. ;) As far as griefer problems needing attention: that's why LL created Abuse Reports. Use them! They DO work when you provide enough information to the Lindens to investigate! I understand you were seeking an immediate solution but even RL doesn't work that way.

Ok, fair enough. But if they had, you'd be on here complaining that it took too long for anyone to reply. Either way, LL and their VOLUNTEERS are never going to make you happy unless they are perfect.

Okay, chances are that I would not be here complaining about the time it took if I had to wait to get a correct answer that solved my problem. I'm complaining because LL is short staffed and the volunteers aren't as knowledgeable as the Lindens. I'm not here griping about the volunteers not knowing as much as the Lindens and I don't expect them to. I UNDERSTAND WHAT A VOLUNTEER IS. I was frustrated because I had to state my problem twice and received less than generic problem solving answers. I figured their next problem solving technique would include telling me topat my head and rub my tummy and maybe that would fix it. Yes, it was a volunteer helper, not a Linden that attempted to resolve my problem. Kudos to the helper for trying, but it didn't solve anything. If it is a scripting problem that sucks because they are full mod poseballs for which i paid 1k/each for and I've got quite a few of them.

Also, thank you all for your input and helpful advice on the situation :)
