I'm not getting much of anything. If I go through the SL login screen, the dowload starts, goes ok for a while, and then fails. It tries to blame me for having another program in the way, such as a firewall. If I go through the download page, it starts, goes ok for a while, bogs down to about 2kbs and then fails.

Thank you. My problem must have been intermittent ISP failure, because I went somewhere else, and the download is 80% complete now.
