"Governor Linden" land

My gradual land consolidation process burbles along fairly nicely: I now find that one of my plots contains a tiny 48m^2 plot marked as "Governor Linden - Maintenance". Since my land entirely surrounds it, is there any procedure for applying to get it off maintenance and consolidated with the rest of the parcel?

Try sending an email to the support email address with Linden Land in the subject line, and tell them this and give them the coordinates. It worked for me last time I tried it, but it took some time for them to get back to me and I sent more than one request. Or you could try contacting Guy Linden directly, since he's the one who handles these things.

Just make sure you make the email subject very clear. Maybe "[land] would like to purchase 48m2 of protected surrounded by my land at GummiSim 128,128" or some such.

Not sure if this falls into the same barrel of fish....there was a plot next to me which had been abandoned and returned to the old 'Guv'nor' The land stayed with LL for about 4 months then one day I asked a Linden in live help if they knew when it was going to auction. Cant remember what Linden I spoke to, they all look and sound the same to me, but they said that they would put the land on the 'list' and that I should keep an eye on the auctions. 2 hours later the land was cleared an up for auction (which suprised me allot). This is a 3000 sqm plot im talking about and I had offered to buy it direct from LL at far above the averidge market price. I was told there is NO way it could be sold to me directly, had to be done through auction. I think you will have the same problem with you 48 sqm, you will need to bid via an auction rather than purchasing direct from LL.

I don't know how they handle things nowadays but back when the Linden Land forum thing existed, it seemed obvious from reading the questions and answers that a small plot of Linden land surrounded by the land of a resident, would not be auctioned but was instead 'handled' somehow. For what it's worth I have watched the auctions page for about two months and I have never seen land under 256m up for auction.

On the other hand, when I contacted Guy about 1536m that was in between two plots I owned, he explained that they had to be fair and put it to auction.

I don't know if there are any hard and fast rules but based on observations I suspect that such a tiny bit of surrounded land, would be more likely to be 'handled' rather than auctioned.

For smaller plots that are too small to auction, LL (prolly Guy) will offer it to you at 1L/sqm IF...IF your land is on 3 sides of it.

It's their policy that if it's 512 or smaller, they'll sell it directly to you at $1/sq.m. It used to be under 512, when there was still first land, and 512 lots got turned into first land. But they recently sold me a 512 lot that was surrounded by my other land for $1/sq.m.

So now the only people who can get 512 lots for $512 are people who already own land.
