Any Easter surprises in SL??

No Easter surprises in SL today??? Egg, sun/moon??? Anyone notice anything?????

I know... I was kind of disappointed when I logged in and there wasn't an egg sun to make me smile.

If Linden Lab did anything to acknowledge Easter, I'm willing to bet a month's wages that somebody would be in the forums bitching because they were endorsing a religion.

Some people's balances have been replaced with an Easter egg like this: "O".

You mean like poorly chosen teleporter messages on April Fools?

Or logging in and not being able to teleport anywhere, and not having Lindens to spend if we were able to walk that far?

Or not being able to search, or see anyone's profile picture, or their picks?

If the system were running well, some Easter eggs scattered about would be a great thing. With it running the way it is, and very poor communication coming across in the blog, it's a very good thing that time wasn't spent on 'surprises'.

Nah, there's some folks with enough sense at LL that probably thought about it for a moment, and realized 'nope.. this is a pretty bad time to show that we are thinking about anything other than trying to make this all work'.

Luskwood's Lusk (sim) is giving away free easter bunny avatars

There are plenty of eater eggs around. There is a great easter egg hunt that has its own website and if you join a popular lucky chair group you'll receieve plenty of messages about their locations.

Havent tried to find any myself because i figure the prizes they contain probably wont be that great but you never know.

Try checking the resedent run websites forum, i think i remember seeing info about the easter egg hunt site there. Also there is a new geocaching site which has nothing to do with easter but works in a similar way to the eater egg site. I hadnt even heard of geocaching until they opened that site and their site isnt very informative about what geoching is so i had to go to a RL geocahing website to learn about it.

I did have a couple Lindens look into the egg sun/moon - may have had to be set aside due to other issues (or because I'm sure someone would complain about resources used for it versus other issues, I would guess).

Bunny Linden is out an about, though, an giving out some nice goodies.

I liked the tp messages a lot. The only way to keep from offending someone is to be insipidly bland - thank G'al LL are not that.

I agree with Osprey. I liked the April Fool's Day messages. Was hoping to see some Easter special touches too...but perhaps too many people (cough cough) complain.

And it is a lovely free bunny, too! In your choice of colors or gender. Look for a special vendor with a "Graffitti" bunny face apparently spray-painted on the face ov the vendor. They have at least three sims set up with these, in Lusk, in the sim to the East of Lusk, and one other. The avatar is the same high quality bunny anthro that they normally sell got L$800 or L$900 - somewhere around that price range. Most generous of them!

Some of the SL churches put on a walking tour, with sets and avs dressed up as Biblical characters. There was also a theatrical production of some sort, I believe.

I IM'ed Mia Linden on Saturday, asking if there was going to be any special Linden Bears for Easter, and she told me to look for Bunny Linden in world...

I didn't find Bunny at all! I left Bunny an IM asking for a bear, but no answer [EDIT: no answer because Bunny was offline!]. Did anyone see Bunny?

I did not see Bunny, but I did IM an I did get Bunny's box o' goodies.

Yeah it was an amazing gift....

I hadn't bothered to get any bunny avatars yet, as my own preference leans more to foxes, wolves and dogs. But a couple of my SL "sisters" like to have bunny forms, so now I can join them when we're all in a fluffy-tailed, hopping mood. *grins*

Surprise! - Crashed 8 times!
Surprise! - Builds not sticking. Prims kept bouncing back or even dissapearing.
Surprise! - Everything I built reverted back everytime I relogged (reposition - recolor)
Surprise! - Super low traffic at shops because no TP or Linden balances.
Surprise! - Abismal sales!
Surprise! - Message form LL saying not to rez any thing "important".
Surprise! - Gave up and ate a ham.
