I've found lately that when i de-expand a folder in my inventory, it closes fine. But when i click my inventory and re-open it in any of the available scenarios, several folders are opened including (but not limited to) folders i have recently expanded. My inventory is a mess. Sure, this is a free call to get my ass in shape and clean it up but surely it's not intentional.
Is this a known issue? Are there any short-term 'bandaids' i could perform?

Known issue? Yes.
Quick Fix? Open your inventory and click File. Then click Open New Window. Close old window and shazam...you have an inventory window with all your folders closed. Not a perma fix by any means...but it sure beats relogging or closing each and every folder in one's inventory.

From: Ace Arizona Is this a known issue? Known, and summarily ignored by LL, since they are far too busy creating unwanted features and enhancements to be bothered by having to actually *FIX* something.

From: Tamii Gwynneville Known, and summarily ignored by LL... Nasty much? This particular glitch is slated for a fix soon -- forget whether it's the next server update or the First Look viewer, but either way, it is not being ignored.

I believe the water visibility bug, the open folders bug, the blue dialog vendor bug, and a million other bugs in the current Regular Viewer are fixed in the current First Look Viewer. However, there is a bug in the current First Look viewer that involves applying textures to an entire prim. Read about it Here. There is a new regular viewer scheduled to be released some time which has lots of bug fixes also. You can read about that Here. (It is still on the beta grid)

LOL sorry, I'm a total sarcasm lover and that post cracked me up. Yes, they've known about it for awhile. It was fixed, then a fix for another issue unfixed that one awhile back. Unless I'm getting my botched fixes mixed up, in which case, never mind!

From: Gaybot Foxley (It is still on the beta grid) First Look is a main grid viewer, so care should be taken in any transactions. They WILL be taken from your SL account, unlike the beta grid where transactions aren't connected to your real account. There are changes coming up that are on beta, which covers server issues, and will be implemented during the infamous Wednesday downtime. Changes coming up in the First Look viewer, which covers client-side issues, are available to anyone who wants to download the FL viewer, and will eventually be provided as the main viewer. Not suprising we're all confused.

This was fixed in First Look, until the next build "unfixed" it again. It's not quite as bad as in the main viewer, but still very much present.
