I was buying some Lindens last night and found the exchange rate for $1 USD was approximately $186 Lindens. I checked the website and found that it was listed at its per usual $265-267 range. This morning I went to the website and found the same exchange rate (see picture). http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u204/ClaireKanno/SL2LindexImage2-6-07.jpgIs this a Linden issue? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

If you were trying to buy within the game it subtracts the $0.30 fee before calculating the Lindens you will get. If you ask for $1US worth of Lindens, you will actually see the quantity for $0.70 worth. I found this when a friend had the same question. The more Lindens you purchase, the closer to the actual exchange rate it wil be because of the fixed 30 cent fee.

It is well worth your effort to learn to use the http://www.slexchange.com "Currency Exchange" I just got 284 per dollar on a trade, I've always gotten over 280 since I started. This may indeed change over time, but somehow I doubt it will ever go below the official exchange rate.
