real fast, No this isn't about aging, it's about my AV always appearing several feet above the ground the floating there with arms and legs flailing. I'm not sure what is causing it, but every time I teleport or log in there he is floating and flailing. Anyone have a clue what might be causing this?

I always just hit "stop flying".
I make a rather awkward teleport in everytime. Well, almost everytime. However, my AV is kinda klutzy anyway so it fits in with her personality to come in flailing through the air and landing with a thunk, then dusting off her butt afterwards ^_^ I can see how it would be very annoying to AVs with more personal dignity ...
Dunno if it has to do with the size/stature of the person or something. Are these using Teleport links (events/search/Landmarks etc) or map clicks?

I get this occasionally, but it depends entirely on how I initiate the teleport.
Two of my parcels are at very different heights, one at sea level (20m) and the other a bit above that (85m). If I am on the higher parcel use 'My Land' from the World menu to select the lower parcel and teleport to it, I always appear at the X and Y coordinates of the set landing point, but with the Z coordinate of the original parcel... meaning I am 65m in the air above the landing point, and go falling/flailing down. The opposite is true as well, as the sea level parcel is actually on the sea, so that if I use My Land to teleport there from BELOW sea level, I end in the sea BELOW the landing point, usually falling and flailing down to the sea floor if the originating point was not all the way down at 0m.
However, if I use a landmark from my inventory, I land directly on the landing point at the proper altitude, regardless of my altitude before I teleported.
I can remember specifically how teleporting using the Map works. I think maybe if I click a spot on the map it automatically chooses the ground level at that point (meaning I could end up inside a non-phantom prim), but I am not sure about that.

For me, this sort of thing happens when I'm using an anti-push device. Detach, teleport, then reattach.
