Transfer ownership

OK good people here is my silly issue that I want to resolve. For some reason I am listed as owner or creator or what ever of a group,, Dirty Old Man,, and I am listed as owner!! I tried to leave the group, cleaning up my inventory and what not, and can NOT!! I tried to transfer to another person and could not...

How do I get out of this group? or any group for that matter?

How many members are in the group? I know that if you're listed as owner, you can eject everyone else from the group, leaving you as sole member. The group will automatically dissolve in 3 days.

Make sure that it is set so that people cannot just "join" the group, or you will have a hard time keeping your membership down.

Well, the group seems to have active members so I don't really want to lock them out since they seem to be using it,, all I want is out!

A few updates back LL changed the way groups work. If you're the owner of a group, you can't just leave anymore without appointing a new owner if you're the only owner.

When people want to get rid of a group they're the owner of, they'll make some other unsuspecting person an owner, bump themself down to a normal member and leave.

Well, you could send a notice to the group saying you don't want to be owner, and want to leave the group. Maybe one of them would like to be made owner in your place, and then you could leave. If no one replies, well, then boot em all and let the group dissolve.
