My entire computer freezes whenever I take a snapshot and I have to reboot. This never used to happen. Anyone else having this issue? I cleared cache.

I haven't taken a snapshot in weeks........more like months to be honest. Not being any expert at all I can only guess what the snapshot feature in the client is all about. Seems it's some sort of specialized "print screen" function for the computer itself. Aside from a glitch in the viewer your problem almost has to be on your end.........either your computer or the settings on your computer. The image in the snapshot never leaves your computer so I can't see SL being the problem in any way other than a possilbe viewer glitch. Try uninstalling and reinstalling a freshly downloaded viewer. If that doesn't fix it look at your computer and it's settings.

How long a freeze Raymond? I snapped a few last night and the first one of a batch always takes longer due to checking the path but it still performed within about 20 seconds?

The 'FirstLookViewer' although now openned up the texture pipelines can reach upto 99% of your PC resourses, when you take a screen shot, it has to make space in memory for the kernel to load to take and execute the API call. I found that when I have more than 1 PC turned on in my network, it can not only take longer to load all the drivers and map the network drives to allow me to save a picture anywhere on the network, but in some cases, crashes me out of SL. I have reduced this by only having a single folder mapped to the network, that is on the PC I most use.
Even openning notepad to store ingame information, can crash me out of SL, or at least freeze the whole PC for a few seconds.

You maybe able to reduce this by setting the kernel to remain in memory, when playing a game, assuming you have a PC? I use xptune to set this myself, other programmes are available to set this as well.
