I don't see many resources on tortured prims in world. Somebody said there was a section at the Ivory Tower but I didnt see it back in May when I first learned the basics there,and I don't see it in the new building now. I'm sure there was an instructor led course on tortured prims advertised in events a few weeks ago but I can't find details of that now either.

You might try touring through the Damani sim - the creator has done some amazing things with twisted prims and creative/inspired use of textures (hopefully it's still there, this link is a bit old):

Popping "prim torture" into google yielded Strike Onizuka's page at http://www.alwaysblack.com/?p=221 .
The LSL wiki has a prim torture script at http://lslwiki.com/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=LibraryPrimTorture . I'm not sure but you might want to look at The Sojourner's building tutorial which I believe is still at the NCI HQ and should be at the newish Help Island Public. I bet the avatar Masterful Escape knows a thing or two about wresting a prim into an artistically useful shape. _____________________
