How to reach neighbors

Hi there ...

I have some neighbors who i really would like to meet / buy out but they never respond any of my messages. Some -i know- havent been in for a long time. Is there a way to reach them?

What happens if ppl don't come back? What happens to their land?

Hi, I have a similar issue in my home sim.

From LL point of view, as long as they are paying Tier (if applicable) and paying their Premium subs (and some people are on an Annual subscription so it can take a while to run out) , LL considers them as 'active' - even if they've not actually been in-world for a long time.

If/when they *do* stop paying subs/tier, I believe LL reclaims the land and will sell it on an L$ Auction.

i have this same situation with a few neighbors.

i assume they joined sl.. paid annual membership.. bought first land (same time i did).. and after a short period.. lost interest .. and don't come in world anymore.

but since their membership is paid for a year and since the land is only 512 plots.. they are paying no tier.

i've written a few times coz i'm interested in buying the land. but i'm resigned that it will remain undeveloped until next november.

which, in a way, is not that bad.

Don't forget there are some (very few says LL in a recent blog post) lifetime accounts that don't play anymore but hold 4096m2 of land and don't pay premium fees, essentially locking up thier land for eternity for free, assuming they never return.
