Can someone tell me how to find a registration key from your avatar and how you can set up grant modifactons for a friend? I need these two things for a object, but can't find it anywhere. Thank you

First off you don't need an avatar's UUID key in order to grant mod rights. You need to add the avatar to your friends list then highlight their name and tick the 'Can modify my objects' option. If you really really need someone's UUID key look in C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Secondlife\Cache\name.cache You'll need to open the name.cache file with notepad and to a search using the avatar's name. You'll also see listed the names and keys of every avatar you've come into contact with since you last cleaned your cache.

for you answer and so quick! But I understand how to give someone modification rights but I don't see Grant modifications, and I need that. Otherwise a friend of mine can't see my configuration notecards in a object, and the explaining says to me that I need to give him Grant Modification rights.

They should be able to read notecards in your objects even if they've accidentally toggled 'tools > select only my objects'. Maybe I've misunderstood your question.
Ah, are these notecards you've created in objects you've created? If the notecard is no-mod that might explain your problem. Permissions can be very fiddly.

Assuming that you've given them modification rights on your friends list, I suppose it's possible the message is referring to the object itself. The quickest thing that will stop SL from allowing an object to be modified (even by the creator) is if it has been locked. I'd start by editing the object, going to the OBJECT tab of the edit window and making sure that the LOCK box isn't checked. If it's not, then you need to go back to the General Tab and make sure that the all the permissions are enabled on the object. (This shouldn't be a problem, but you never know.) You might also want to check permissions on the notecard you're referring to. To do that, right click it and select PROPERTIES from the dropdown menu. The permissions for the notecard are on the window that pops up. Also make sure that your friend doesn't have "Select Only My Objects" checked on the Tools Menu. That shouldn't make a difference with a notecard, but sometimes (depending on how buggy a client version is) it can.
Overall, this is very odd, but this sort of thing does happen. Sometimes it's just a matter of waiting a day or two and double checking to make sure that your friend has modification rights. Sometimes things like permission changes, changes to land options, and so forth, just take a bit longer to go through than they should.
