Next to my parcel some Guy has opened one of those cheap and nasty camping Casino's. It's only small but still quite annoying. The building itself is hidden behind tree's but the sound from his machines !!!!

Everytime somebody wins it plays "I want Candy" and makes those horrible beeping sounds. I can hear this from quite a long way into my land away from him so I would imagine it's a sound script.

Can I AR him? I spoke to the Guy, who told me to get F***ed basically.

What do you think?

You can AR him. Land like that should be set to keep spacialised sound restricted to the parcel.

In the meantime, you can R-click on each machine and select MORE then MUTE off the pie menu. This ~should~ mute the sound for you. Though LL has been breaking/fixing this off and on for some time.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

You could also restrict spatialized sound to your own parcel, and you won't hear that sound leaking into yours. (The real problem is that most gambling device scripts are eager to get attention, so use llPlaySound or llTriggerSound instead of llTriggerSoundLimited, as god surely intended.) ;)

I asked him to keep spacialised sound checked but he said he would "think about it". Discusting grubby little places like this need closing. And Guy's like him should be banned.

I went to check it out to see how bad it was, But i couldn't get near the place due to your banlines. Without seeing first hand, I really can't advise.

Of course, being the god-fearing sort, which I'm sure you are *slow grin*...you could always find a number of good scripture passages condemning gambling and set them to play on YOUR land. *laughs* Sort of like those yard signs with bible passages on them...

Yeah...I know, I know *mumbles sullenly* s'just makin' the prollem worse...but...I really, really hate those friggin' casinos.

As Qie said, you can restrict spacialised sound on your own land, so no sound leaks in from surrounding parcels. And it works! I had this problem with screamers left on land next to mine with an absentee landlord.
