Sim griefed: how to get in-world support?

(Thank you for the quick fix, Frontier and Heretic :) We were lucky that you were available)

The sim I live in has been griefed. The script time is atrocious; we suspect the griefers have left objects on land that isn't ours, and the land owners aren't here at the moment.

We've tried contacting Linden via e-mail at the "inworldsupport" e-mail address, but the answer we got was that address wasn't in use anymore. We were pointed towards the support page, which says there's an inworld support team... on Help island public... where we can get support from residents. I don't think other residents will be able to help with the script-time problem.

How do we get inworld help?

Okay... if it's a private sim you need to get with the sim owner as the sim owner has access to Concierge Level customer support (I'm under the impression someone else owns the land in question).

No, we're on the mainland (but we don't own all the sim).

Okay... what you want is a Linden to come out to your sim and take a gander to see if a scripted object is sucking up all the resources. You've filed the AR paperwork, and your e-mail bounced. If you're a Premium account you can access the Live Chat portion of the interface or put in a support request ticket. I've never used the new Help interface, but that would seem to be your likeliest possibilty of finding a live person to help with the problem during a holiday weekend.

Okay we've found the new Live Chat (it's buried deep, deep), but you're right, it's of no use until Tuesday :/ No wonder the griefers choose Friday night US time to have their little fun!

You could try finding a Linden in-world, via people search. Scroll through the list until the "Offer Teleport" button comes alive, and you'll have a live one..

I have had good luck with AR's with the new system. If everyone that is effected by the script AR's it, then it seems to get taken care of quicker.

I'll second this: Where in the Solution Finder is Live Chat?

I'm gonna go with, "I'm not thrilled with this new support system, if I have to jump through 50 hoops just to get there."

It's designed in such a way as to strongly encourage residents to use the self help tools before resorting to contacting a Linden. In my opinion, that's a smart way to do it. Before you'll get a link to live chat, you will have to "use" the solution finder.

Ah, I got it now, thank you Zaphod. Geeze.. they did bury it deep, but the instructions were finally clear this time. I was searching the wrong way, apparently... but at least now I know for when I really need it.

Bad. Very Bad.

When I want to contact a live one, it'll be because there is an issue that only a live one can help me with. I don't want to waste 15 minutes jumping through hoops to find someone who might be able to help me, but might just as easily put me on hold or pass me up the chain of line support.

I really wanna know which sim this happened to because the same thing happened to the sim next to the one I live in. All seems cleared up in the one next door, but there is also objects in my home sim too that were also reported and they still remain. Spinning boxes with stoopid spongebob like characters on them ring a bell?

Sim Griefing
05-27-2007 19:02
Well ...My sim seems to get hit regularlly on weekends when the children that do it know damn well the LL are not going to help.

I am sick of the whole thing. The grief mongers have made this more of a job than a game. Going to investigate this latest hit, but seriously thinking of just washing my hands of this silliness.
