Hi all, i've been hit with a cage that spams me with messages that demands i take off my scripts, would anyone happen to know the name of this item? *just for the record, i dont want to own it, i think its lame and does not belong even in a combat sim.. I was also hit with texture spams the next day, 500 or so 1024x1024 pics opening up on my screen!! If i can find the above weapon and see if it also includes a texture spammer, then i'll know exactly who's doing this and can het my revenge *

Right-click the cage, edit, and get the name of the griefer who owns it, and AR them. Then forget about it. Escalating a fight with a griefer is playing their game, and giving them a win every time.

Normally i'd agree with you but this is in a combat zone and i dont much would be done if i made an AR. Shooting, killing etc is all fine and good but texturing spamming.. grrr i need to find out who this guy was.

Ah, OK. I avoid combat zones.
But right clicking the cage and editing it will still let you see who hit you with it. His name will be there as the owner of the cage.

Also, regarding the texture spam, check your chat history. You should green text that says "[Person's Name] gave you [item name]."
I wonder if you can then just mute that person/object and block inventory that way?

"If you walk in the rain, resign yourself to the fact you ARE going to get Wet" ~The Hagakure~
If you play about in the Combat Sims sooner or later you are going to get hit with EVERY kind of weapon that has ever been developed in SL. If you don't like it, Play somewhere else because in being in the Combat Sims it IS going to happen. It's the Nature of the Place.

Thank god it has been confirmed that muting someone denies them from spamming me with notecards or objects. This has never happened to me, but omg, I just cleaned out my inventory. I like it very tidy and would die. Anyways, does muting someone still apply to them if you are offline or log out and come back? I know some of those malicious weapons will spam people when they are offline.

Thanks for tips guys. I'm not complaining here, i just think its the lowest lame form of weapon, its a no holes barred combat sim and have come to expect all kinds of underhanded 'not availible in the shops' type weapons. All i want to do is identify the cage 'remove your scripts' weapon and see if it also includes a texture spammer, this way i can identify the person who used the spammer on me, i think i know but want to make sue because dont want to unleash a whole world of hell on the wrong person I am or course talking about within the combat zone. The most annoying thing is i know i've read about it somwhere on slexchange but cant for the life of me remember what it was or find it again! grr
