How long did it take you to get your limit increased?

I'm currently trying to get my limit increased from Res1 to Enterprise level. I do realize with the large influx of players lately that this will likely take more time than expected. If anyone has currently had their limit increased, I would appreciate knowing how many days it took for you. It's currently my 6th day (5th business day). Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply Stephen That gives me renewed hope that mine should come soon. I'm really looking forward to it as I've maxed out my sell, plan on maxing my purchase shortly, and am presently using the rest of my buy, buying lindens.

First time it took me 3 weeks. Second time around I've been waiting over a month and still nothing. Skye requested an increase at the same-ish time as me and so she's been waiting a month too.

I think Jill Linden is on vacation or something. Their billing department is lagging.

The limits on how many L$ you can buy, sell and charge to your credit card in a given period. The limits regular residents have aren't really suitable for business owners or currency speculators and they certainly haven't been suitable for land sellers (which most of the posters in this thread are) recently, so you can apply to have your limits increased if you have a valid reason and you've been a good boy or girl

It is also my understanding that there is no objective criteria for being approved for a limit increase. As I see it, Jill Linden has sole discretion over limits and if she doesn't like you, you're stuck.

I'm at business level 2, and honestly, by the time I'm in a situation where I need to cash out 20,000 USD per month from Second Life (240k USD/yr)... heh, I'll guess I'll just cross that bridge when I come to it. Nothing to worry about until you've got what, maybe 5 to 8 million meters of land... Those 512m lots are selling a lot better than I thought, I guess!

If you buy land in the auctions, you need US$. When you sell it, you get L$ back, which you need to convert to US$ again to repeat the process. Given the prices at auctions recently, it doesn't take many loops to exceed your Sell L$ limit.

Seems like a lot of risk and work to do all that, no?

Yep, as whoever bid some of the auctions finishing tomorrow above US$4000 just as land prices crashed will discover. The risk depends on the profit you attempt to make. Less profit and you can turn the sim over quicker, leaving less chance of you getting caught with a load of land that you can't break even on. Higher profit and you have more chance of being stuck with land, but hopefully you'd have built up enough of a cash reserve during better times to salvage the situation.

Stephen, you nailed exactly what I was intending on focusing a business around -- hence the need for a large limit And yes, I saw those 4k usd bids and felt so sorry for whoever made them. Rockwell, Elanthius, Desmond, and Stephen, thank you from the bottom of my heart I really appreciate the information as I really can't do anything in Second Life related to business until I get this limit increase. I just hope I get my limit increase before mainland stops crashing, would be a shame to watch this opportunity pass by.

Mainland prices are crashing? Funny, I've been seeing wailing for weeks about how the prices are getting out of hand, but then your offhand comment is the first time I saw anything about the prices finally coming down.

Yes you're right. I guess the complainers got what they wanted. If you do a search, you'll probably see the first 13s you've seen on mainland in weeks.
