I have been on vacation...now that I have gotten back, I see new gambling rules in SL, but I am really unsure what to make of it. I have read through this part of the forums, but still am not sure on somethings.

Main thing I am wondering is:: Are games like Tringo, Slingo, and Pizza banned? How about solo player games like Slemory, Quinzee, Shrooms, or Streetz?

I am assuming since this games you actually have to do something to win more than place a bet, it will be ok to have these, but I do not want to get in trouble either.

Please help?

LL doesnt want to tell anyone their stance on those games you just mentioned, probably because if they leave it unclear those games will still be allowed to be run but LL will still be protected from the FBI because of their gambling ban.

Half a week has passed without any further announcement about these games and while casinos are shutting down zyngo parlours are still open. If they really wanted to ban these games i think they would have mentioned them but i dont think they do.

I think this gambling ban is more a case of gambling isnt allowed but LL dont mind if you do it so long as they dont find out about or get in any trouble because of it.
If this isnt the case then they really need to give a comprehensive list of games that are banned, surely slingo would have crossed their minds when they were writing the list so by not including it on the list they seem to be saying that it is still ok.

Well I think it's more a case of this is a business decision to discourage gambling. Any obvious gambling establishments are being closed down or have pulled out themselves. LL have been a little bit vague and thrown in generalisations and hinted that it's illegal but on the Reuters news page they say:

"Robin Linden, senior vice president for community told Reuters in an email: “There was no precipitating event or investigation that led to this decision. It was a business decision.”"

Which suggests there might a little wiggle room, however I wouldn't risk putting Zyngo machines on my land.
