Hi I just signed up my 3rd account but i can't pay for it even though it's an additional account. I went through all the registering stuff and it never asked (maybe because i used another email address?). I don't want an illegal 3rd account so please tell me how to change it to add. account and pay my one time fee for it.

I put in a support ticket about this and they told me they're not charging for alts at the moment.

What I have done for my alts made since they stopped charging was simply to ensure that they do have payment info on file. I come here to the website, log in as them, and update my payment info to either Pay Pal or a credit card. If you really want to be sure, have each alt buy $1 USD worth of L$ on Lindex, even if they never buy any L$ again after that. Then they can't deny that you ever paid them anything with that alt - you will have paid the L$ purchase fee. My main account earns the L$ for all my alts, and 'pays them an allowance' any time they want to buy anything.

So I assume from your post this does not threaten your original account? You use the same credit card info? My alt gets banned from some areas or often ignored just becasue there is no payment info on file and I have been afraid to try re-entering the credit card info. WG

I made an alt today, and submitted payment info (same as for my main ave-Me, Jannae) using CC. Listed on web site as payment info on file, but not inworld when I brought up the alt's profile. Logged off and on, etc., no change. Finally bought a few L$ from in the viewer (risky business these days), and immediately went to inworld payment info on file status.

WG Even at their most restrictive phase, LL allowed up to 5 accounts to share the same payment method. These days there is no limit on the number fo accounts that share the same payment info, though if you start abusing the TOS or Community Standards and LL bans one account, you might well find the others that share that billing onfo also get banned. LL reserves the right to limit individuals on how many accounts they may have. In general, if you are not a griefer abusing multipl accounts and getting banned for it, you shouldn't have to worry about them limiting you. Especially not for being honest and providing identifying information on a previously anonymous alt!

The funny thing is that on the thread about the funky "update your billing info" email today, someone says Live Chat told her the problem was caused by using the same billing info for three accounts. They told her that to fix it, should would need to provide a different payment method for one of the accounts. I had to pass on the sad information that even Support often doesn't know the actual LL policies! (At least in my case, the billing info update seemed more about them now requiring the 3-digit security code. LL didn't have any problem with the exact same credit card being used for all three of my accounts.)
