Private SL Investigations? I don't think I can go larger to a type of SL FBI, the whole griefing system and recognition of authority is a bit hard to pass off. Think there would be any interest in it? I haven't seen or heard of anything similar so far. Thoughts? Ideas? Criticism

My In Game Fiancee wishes to set up a PI Office. It's Possible of course, Most of the Tools available to a Real Life PI are also available in SL (Including disguise) and almost as Many, If not more problems that require the services of a PI in RL are available in SL also.
I'd say there is a Market.
Angel.

Napoleon
I don't wish to put a dampener on your idea, but I think there are already a few enterprises of this kind in SL.
I'm sure they could stand a little competition, though.

Seems to me like this would violate both the harassment and disclosure clause of the community standards and hence would not be allowed.

It's technically not allowed, unfortunately. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen. There are several known groups in SL who take policing upon themselves and they've also gotten into hot water about it.

A. My bad...I seriously hope you didn't get offended by that.

From: Napoleon Federal Thoughts? Ideas? Criticism There is a decent market for people who want to know if their partners are cheating on them inworld. The investigations need also not be of intrusive nature. Some might want to hunt down texture pirates and such of their products. However, keep the investigations inworld and as other said, avoid disclosure of RL information.

Never my intention to spread it past SL. It is, after all, an SL based PI firm What is a First Life anyway?
