Any TV/movies working?

Hey everyone

I am wondering, I have a tv and since the SL downgrade....it doesn't work...anyone else having this problem and if not...can someone help me with it? Thanks

Gee...now that you mention it...We haven't tried our tv since the "update". Gimme a few to check it out............Hmmm, ours is working, but we're just using a textured prim instead of a store bought tv. I plopped down our remote control and tuned to the following "channel"....

Perhaps you're on group owned land and the update undeeded a few things?

My TV works quite well, though it does not use any scripts, and is simply a cube with the video texture on it.

i make tv's the same way huge largescreens but the texture i use for it is all the sudden black and none of my videos are working not sure why will play with it some more this weekend i made sure it was deeded and i know it was working last weekend because i make and sell huge widescreen tv's and i have about 20 different music video machines in my theater i watch often but not workin now

How does it work? is it any good?

What channels can i watch?

i have about 20 different music video machines from lightning video
i also get movies from the best sl movie shop dare to dream
and i make 2 sizes of widescreens for 50L
never watched an actual channel before but i love sittin up there watchin music videos

If there is a stream or hosted movie on the internet that you can link to (not a http page), then you can enter the url in the land media tab, that you own, and apply a texture to both that tab, and a prim face. Stretch the prim to suit the resolution of the movie/tv station broadcast, and there you have it. There are quite a few 'freeview' TV stations on the internet.

That is a very basic setup, you can buy some quite soffisticated controller and ready made systems, that allow you to create a playlist of urls and play them in many formats. Do a search for media players/systems... you could also checkout EML Entertainments (shameless plug) or IM me ingame.

I think it's shameful how many shameless plugs there are in forum these days! ....

I am going to have to get me one of those fancy, Forum stretching, lag causing, advertising textures, save me typing in my shameless plugs lol... a man's gotta eat..

Contact the creator of each film and get a updated copy. I had all of mine updated after the Wednesday downtime and now they work. The Film guys out there know about it and will replace your old films at no cost.

I had some problems over the weekend with the tv that I bought..Both the movie tab not showing up and Movies not playing on the TV. I upgraded Quicktime to 7.0 on both machines and everything works fine on both machines now.
