I have a very small Classified for a very small shop. I'm paying the amazing sum of 50 lindens per month. Now I would like to up that amount a bit.
How do I do that? I seem to be able to change everything in the ad, except the fee. Do I have to delete the ad and enter it again?

From: Raynor Hammerer Do I have to delete the ad and enter it again? Yes, because when you pay that is for a week, and it keeps things simple for the old ad to simply be deleted, as opposed to somehow transferring over the time you had left toward your new ad. At least, that's what I've been doing. If anyone posts a simpler way, I'll probably flinch when I read it.

I'd like to see a feature whereby you could change the price of the ad for a new cycle. As your business grows you have a bit more revenue to throw at advertising.
I guess though that's a low priority issue as you can let it run out and create a new one.

Raynor, you'll soon find $50L a week isnt all that amazing, paying the minimal amount will bring in the minimal amount of customers, as most pay more. A suggestion... Deterimine the general keyword that describes what you sell, "clothing", or "jewelry", or "vehicles", whatever the primary search term is that would best describe your product or service. Then, search that term. Look to the right, and see the amounts being paid for the ads. It may turn out that paying a bit more, a hundred, or couple of hundred, will make your business show up much higher on the list. Believe me, the higher on the list, the better. Think of it, why would some people pay tens of thousands of L's per week? Just a suggestion because often times, that low ball $50 a week doesnt bring in more than one or two customers a week

From: Johan Laurasia ........often times, that low ball $50 a week doesnt bring in more than one or two customers a week Just out of interest, how many customers do most people get from their ads, that is price to traffic ratio? I have several $51 ads running and the TPs vary amazingly, from 5 to 50. There is one that goes as high as 120, but that store is at Phatland, so I figure ppl are searching for the club - sim traffic is 120,000+ I made up a list of key words and worked them all into the text of the ads rather tha a list at the end, but each ad is worded slightly differently. The ones that consistently bring in the most traffic use a picture of just one of my items, on a white background, with the price. Doesn't seem to matter which item. Should I try an identical ad at $1000 and see if ithere is a 20 times increase in traffic? Or maybe run 20 x $50 ads and compare that?
