Ahhh, I know I know, patch day creates havok all over. Typical in any online realm. Before the forums get flooded with "I cant log in" I figured I'd just let ppl know, so they expect it. Site says Grid open, log in and it holds at 1/8 of the log in bar. Figured I'd do what I did yesterday and let it sit, perhaps it's just slow going with everyone jumping in at once. About 5 mintues later I get the "oops" message and it kicks me back to login screen.

No worries, and not wigging out. I do have a RL too. I know some people live for the grid.. so I expect to get many giggles 2nite reading over the people going through withdrawls. It makes for good tea reading! Ciao!

I can't log in (keeps timing out with the "something has unexpectedly gone wrong" message) and neither can my RL friend. :(

I was online a few minutes ago, but was having some minor problems and thought I'd re-log. And now I can't get in. At first, I got nothing, the status bar sat there, fading light and dark without advancing forward, for about 7 minutes. I closed it, started again, got the same thing. Ok, maybe it's a problem with my install. Reinstalled, and now I get the "despite our best efforts" message. Meh.

Nope and its not your comp either , it is another SL fook up and its getting very very old and tiring! I get the same thing and I got in once and then crashed while tping and now stuck at the log in and left it there while I cleaned my kitchen and it was still at the log in screen when I got done cleaning...pathetic!

Why cant any of us log in?.. this may be why.

From: someone
12:01pm - After yesterday’s update, we had reports of some problems in Second Life subsequent to the version 1.15.0 update — issues with land transfers, logins, IMs, and the LindEx.The land transfer problem was quickly fixed; but to apply the other fixes, we needed to shut down Second Life for about an hour (or so), starting at 10am PDT on Thursday, 26 April. No new client download was required.

The downtime ran until just after noon. Very sorry about that!

Aparently they brought the grid down 'again' today... and it just came back up about a hour ago.. or a little more than a hour ago... Im 'guessing' Were dealing with the same issue we had after yesterdays 'patch' downtime.. 30 million people all trying to squeeze threw a hole designed for 1 at a time.

Wells could be correct on that. However, the SL front page says ZERO online right now.

Well I tried logging in again, and didn't get an error immediately... I let it sit this time, and wandered off to do some other things. I checked back after 2 minutes and the status bar had not moved. I came back after 10 more minutes, and was logged in. So maybe ridiculous patience is required at this time.

i too am having issues logging in. i get the proper verification. then i get hung up on the logging in please wait frozen part. yes i waited, 15 minutes, and i still cant get in.

i will be downgrading to basic free. it makes no sense to pay for a product that barely works and is steadily declining as each "improvement" is made. perhaps LL should stop hiring thier relatives and actually get some qualified "grid monkeys" to "bang on some things".

The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.
