For at least 2 weeks my....... Recent Items, in my Inventory, wont clear. It makes it very difficult to find anything new. Any Ideas and how to get it to be blank again when I log in? Thanks for any help.

*sighs* I wish they'd fix this.

What is happening is that a filter on the recent folder is no longer set as default, and because of this, you're going to see all the purchases/stuff that you did since it broke. What you'll need to do is go to the recent folder and select filters, find the correct one and turn it back on. Problem with this is you are going to have to do it every time you log in.

That strikes me more as a feature, not a bug :) I am forever whining about how I wish "recent items" was the past 3 days since I don't always get to purchases right away....

You know you can change the recent items to filter on exactly how long you want, in hours or days?

I didn't know you could change the time frame for recent items..that's really handy. Also FYI, yesterday I had a strange anomaly occur, my recent items, and my library switched places...anyone ever have that happen?

I think it's in the menu item called Modify Filters - obviously I can't check right now. It has an option to show everything since the last login (the default behaviour), or you can say anything in the past x hours or days. You can also restrict it to certain types of item, eg just clothing, just notecards & scripts, whatever you want.

Have a look in the menus in the inventory window for it when SL comes back up.

It's not working right now, but it was until fairly recently - I use it quite often.

File/Show Filters/ take check out of "since logoff", then use "Hours Ago", this way you can control your recents items.

And that is from the INVENTORY window... not the main window. Basically, it's where the filters are accessed... right at the bottom
