Avatar stripped bare - animations still busted.

Okay, this has me most annoyed. I was editing and going through a whole bunch of stuff in my inventory (sorting junk out and trying to locate some stuff that appears to have gone missing on a permanent basis), when all of a sudden my avatar bunched up as if it were attempting to walk all-fours. It's all crushed in the middle, the poorly-rendered arse sticking up in the air with looking like I'm trying to invite someone to take a belt to me.

No big deal, I'll just stop all animations. Didn't work. Turned my AO off. Didn't work. Reset all scripts on my avatar. Didn't work. Deleted everything that had any permissions on me. No dice. Relogged. No cigar. Tried clearing the cache and relogging. Still nothing. So I stripped my avatar down to the bare flesh, removed EVERYTHING HUD and otherwise, and I'm STILL bent over waiting for that belt!

I don't know what's going on with SL lately, LL, but for crying out loud, would you FIX some of it! Some of these bugs have been around since before v1.13, since back in 2004!

EDIT1: See! http://starczar.tzo.com:8088/Snapshot_001.jpg

EDIT2: Attempting to reinstall the client as a friend suggests.

Deleted everything and anything related to SL and my avatar is STILL busted. It doesn't matter what parts I remove or interchange, I'm stuck bent over.

It's hard to tell on a furry, but if it's the "snap in two at the waist" anim bug, then that one's been around for over a year now :(.

The only thing that ever fixed it for me (although I haven't come across it since I was a newbie) was to clear cache/relog a number of times with everything detached and then finally attach hair and AO back again when it stopped.

(Edited to add that a reinstall of SL doesn't actually remove or clear your cache since it's located elsewhere outside of the SL directory so do give it a try :))

I removed all that stuff, too.. it's in a hidden folder ("Application Data\SecondLife";) in the "Documents and Settings\<Username>\" directory. I removed any and all things related to Second Life, have relogged, reinstalled and the only thing left to do now, I guess, would be to call LL and HOPE to get through. I'm too tired to mess with it now, though. I just think it's kinda stupid that the animation it decided to use as my 'permanent position' is the ChibiFox quad-mode animation. And yes, I did finally identify what animation it's using.. and no, no other avatar uses that AO. Yet no matter what I wear, attachments or not, scripts or not, I cannot break the animation.

Problem Solved

I have no idea how it happened, but an ancient AO of mine somehow got out of my inventory and under the ground at my home position. UNDER the ground. I can't imagine how it could have happened unless I were possessed or something and put it there, but it's just a bit annoying. This isn't the first time I've had this happen, either - once, I had picked something up from my land and found it back there several months later as if there had been a roll-back or something. I'm just glad this doesn't happen on a regular basis.

... what sucks about all this is that I have no idea how to bug report something so sparsely-occurring as this is. It's not like it's an everyday thing. >.<

Wild! Glad that got solved, though. :)
