Hello again!.

You're not the first person to ask this. But it isn't possible to look from the front the whole time.

Have you experimented with camera controls? For example, hold down alt while you hold down the left button and move your mouse around.

Or, hold down alt and use the arrow keys.

Cameras can go anywhere.

Are you possibly talking about a "first person view", where you are looking out of your avatar's eyes instead of the back of the head? That is very easily done through "mouse view", which you can use simply by pressing the letter m on your keyboard. You must get out of that view (press escape) to do most things besides looking around and walking, however, like selecting objects.

If you were actually looking at the front of your avatar while walking, you couldn't see where you were going, only where you'd been. That might be amusing, but not very useful, lol!

Hope this helps.

Although not likely to be the way you'd like to use SL all the time, it is possible to adjust camera settings so as to look at your av from the front by default.

In Client Debug Settings, find CameraOffsetDefault and set the X value to positive 10, then restart SL.

You will be looking at yourself from the front by default.

You may find that you want to edit the keys.ini file to switch the "push_forward" and "push_backward" keys, and such, around so you don't go nuts.

The other camera setting to play with in FocusOffsetDefault. This one adjusts in realtime as you change it's value in the debug client settings control.
