Hello Everyone, I have a video on blip/tv in mpeg4 format yet I can not play it in my sl theater. The screen just goes blank. Everyone is saying to use blit.tv but their urls don't work for me. The trailers that come with my movie screen all have ".mov" extension whereas my blip movie ends in numbers. http://www.blip.tv/file/240207/Is there a step I am missing here? What should I do?

You can only play Apple Quicktime movies within Second Life. You'll need to export it or convert it to that forum, then upload it to your hosting site, then use the URL in the land > media > movie URL box.
Hope that helps.

Adrianna, I use blip.tv a great deal for streaming inworld. Once you upload your file you need to use the source file url to stream as the ordinary page url is for a .flv version. for the source - Sharing tab, then permalinks.

When did they change that? I thought you could only use Quicktime MOV files.

QuickTime file format .MOV is the basis of the MPEG4 Part 14 (.mp4) container standard. Because both the MOV and MP4 containers can use the same MPEG-4 codecs, they are mostly interchangeable in a QuickTime-only environment
