What makes a sim go offine?

I know it's probably a stupid question...but since yesterday my home sim keeps going offline. I keep getting "teleported to a nearby sim," A sim that's continents away, btw.

There's been lots and lots of packetloss, though I'm not lagging terribly.

Are the people causing problems? There are a bunch of massive prims underground (don't people look to see what's under their land,) and lots of giant builds.

A neighbor all of a sudden has campers, 7 to be exact, and there might be another small camping spot. There are usually about 14 people on the sim at a time where before there were never more than a couple.

Are we just on a bad server?

With the high Packet Loss, but not a hgue gain in lag, I would suspect the internal networking at LL. But that's a very vauge guess.

I'd recommend filing a Support Ticket on this, just so the tech heads at LL are aware of it. It might jsut be somethign simple, but no one there knows it exists until someone tells them ^.~

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

How do I file a support ticket? Is it ingame or through the website?

The "nearby sim" logic seems to take into account the last sim from which you logged out from (not crashed, but actually logged out manually) other than your home sim. Failing that, I understand it deposits you in a nearby infohub.

Website Support Portal.

If you're Basic, make sure to use the 'Special Questions' ticket type or they'll ignore it.

Premium members have the added option of Live Chat via the Solution Finder...you have to go all the way through to the last step before the links come up.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Or on the public OI.. That's always fun when you crash naked..

Idunna, go to support.secondlife.com and add a new support ticket for Region Down. Say that the region keeps restarting and that you could use some help, please.

Look at the top of teh forum page here. Just under teh SL banner. Far right selection. Taht will take you to the support page.

Note: Give it all time to load. That page is one of the slowest on teh SL Website. (well for me)

I found it, I hope I labeled it correctly, as I didn't write "Region Down."

Thanks, never had this happen before.

Any chance LL is cleaning up the place....ha ha...I can wish.

Maybe Sky Eclipse decided to hold a vigil somewhere around your land... cuz we haven't heard from her in a while.
