I have an island with the same problem, rebooting didnt help.
This is posted on the blog:

Seems like this is your problem too.

from the blog:
From: someone
The issue can cause a number of different problems such as: an inability to search or use the map, failure to rez, failures while attaching, L$ balance not being displayed and odd IM behavior. Because there is the possibility of content loss, we encourage you to verify that Search works in the region you are in before attempting to rez any objects.

Or you could attempt to crash it, although thats frowned upon. But it's so easily done. Just start rezzing things. :P

/me really wishes there was a better path for mainland landowners to request a sim restart.

I didn't mind doing my homework first, watching the stats and being patient for a while in case it was just a transient problem. After that, I didn't mind waiting a while on Live Help/Help Request for somebody to respond then come by to give the sim a kick. I'm less happy with the "file a support ticket then wait, sometimes hours, sometimes days, for somebody to respond" deal.

/me sighs. I guess if they did have add better path for land owners, people would just abuse it to the point where LL would have to shut it off.

Yeah just logged in, couldn't create a landmark on my land. Guess I'll just have to go to the pub for the evening instead ;)
