Permissions on buildings/Items to prevent theft?

It looks like my store has been robbed overnight, some of it quite literally as part of the building is gone as well as some items of clothing.

What permissions do I need to set to prevent people taking items in this fashion? It's never happened before, I didn't know you could just take items other people own.

You can not take items from othes.

Unless:
1) The items were set to sell the ORIGINAL and not a copy. Then they buy it and pick it up.
2) The perosn has permissions through the Friends List to alter your prims.

Remember, there was a rolling update last night (see Blog). This may have reset your sim by a few mintues/hours.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

The items were in Zod vendors but were selling originals but I'd have thought you still couldn't just take them.

I'm putting a support ticket in, a renter of mine on the same sim reported a similar issue to me yesterday, we thought then that it was because I'd transferred some deeded land back to me on the same sim and it had affected the prim limit but now I'm thinking that may not be the case.

Ok just noticed I got this message overnight:

"The object 'Second Life' has sent you a message from Second Life:
Your 43 objects have been returned to your inventory lost and found folder by Laval's Estates and Land Rentals near parcel 'Boncarus Arcade' at Boncarus 141.689, 14.5 due to parcel owner return.

= Second Life is owned by Laval's Estates and Land Rentals
= Location unknown."

What the heck? Why would my own land be returning me my own items and since when did I own Second Life!!!!

Auto return is off on this land.

By any chance, are there any other members of the Group in Roles that have permission to return objects set to group? [EDIT: Or, perhaps objects *not* set to group, since not everything was returned, and perhaps those that were somehow hadn't been set to group?]

The new artifact of "Second Life is owned by <your name here>" is pretty funny: it rather tempts one to delusions of grandeur, if only momentarily.

My friend is telling me the same about this autoreturn too. His is on mainland though. Really weird to have own items under proper tag to be autoreturned when autoreturn is off. Been happening to him for the past 2 weeks randomly.
