Since yesterday, any deletion of prims is not working as expected. The prims (or complete objects) are losing all ownership information, but the sims are not releasing them from parcels. They either become phantom and have visible textures, or become invisible, and remain solid. The only way to get rid of them is to restart the region. On the mainland you can achieve this by use of unstable objects, on islands, the estate tools can be used. Let's hope the lindens get a fix for this soon. (edit) go here and vote.

I was hoping the downtime and the maintenance would have rectified this, I mean haven't we all just had sim restarts. Alas it's still a problem and it's a big big problem too.

Yesterday I was building in Tawa, in my land, and the "deleted but still there" problem afected leaving a lot of prims with no info. The only thing you can do is move or resize the prims to keep them out of the working area waiting a sim restart. You can not delete those prims by any mean, you can not take them, you can not create a llDie script and so so... Undestructable super prims!

From: Alicia Sautereau add to it that taking items back to inventory doesn`t take them... If I click on an item a second time after trying to take it, take isn't an option. Item has no owner and can't be modified but does have a group set to it.

I've upped the report on this in jira from critical to blocker as the occurence of this seems to have rocketted! See https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-242And please vote - we need to push this up so that LL take notice that this is not a minor or rare bug, but something that needs fixing now! (although I said that two weeks ago when it first started happening after the 1.16 upgrade)

I also hoped this problem would vanish with todays downtime.
Actually I am not amused at all since I lost a condiserable amount of work, when the bug first occured to me yesterday.

From: Urah Pahute Log in from the main page Alicia and then go to the issue that you want to vote on. doesn`t work either, keep going around in circles with the login screen... but here`s a figure of my test, 203 ghosts out of an 1170 prim object not to mention a rollback ticket... managed to login and vote after hitting it with a hammer a couple of times^^

The same happened to me but I found if I moved the prim on to neighbouring land, with a short autoreturn on, that cleared it. They are not there anymore and there is nothing in my lost and found folder. Cheeky I know, but I get on well enough with my neighbour to be able to do this.

I too have witnessed this even on the beta test server and knew it wasn't fixed in the new client. That and my hair is still going up my ass.
WHERE ARE THE FIXES?

I wrote a little blurb about this bug to help people recognize it when they see it. And hopefully add their vote in JIRA. --- The ghost prim / 0,0,0 bug uses up your prim allowance with invisible "selected/sat upon" items and causes permanent loss of no-copy items. Items may be visible at the region's 0,0,0 point, and non-phantom items can seem solid (though invisible) at the original location. In most cases a sim restart is required to remove the ghost prims, but there is no way to get no-copy items back. If this has affected you, vote on JIRA to get it fixed: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-242 (The entry title specifies "copy" items, but this entry now applies to "no-copy" items too.)
