Hey all, My first post here, so be kind lol Yesterday I read on here from someone else's thread about a lovely place to propose in SL. I have discovered the most amazing place! The place I am talking of is called Hoini! I Im'ed the owner Noriko Tamura and she was the most helpful person from start to finish, she met up with me to give me a tour of the most private Sim I have had the delight to see! The place is to die for! When you first TP there, the veiws of what you see are out of this world, I am talking waterfalls, pools, swans and lots of hidden delights, such as a romantic pool high up in the waterfalls! This was all in the part called the Scheherazade Gardens! Noriko was so helpful, she asked how I wanted things, she offered to move poseballs to certain locations of my choosing, she was just so helpful, and very kind not to laugh at my awful flying lol She asked me what time I wanted the gardens closed for, as I decided that I would propose there, and so we had the whole place to ourselves. But thats not all... we then Tp'd to another part of the Sim called the Pavillons, and WOW! It has a Arabian theme and is mind blowing! There is even the most amazing boat on the lake, and she offered to be around to sail it for us if we so wished I declined as I wanted pure privacy .. lol At the Pavillons we were able to eat at a wonderful set table, overlooking again wonderful views There was a secret place to snuggle and talk, again all with the most amazing surrondings! We also enjoyed dancing away to our choice of music. Luckily my proposal was accepted, I dont think it could be turned down in such a place! LOL Noriko was so helpful, understanding and discreet, It was all amazing! I guess I am writing this to share in case anyone else is looking for such a place and to give a honest opinon! I am off to talk to Noriko later to discuss our wedding that we will be holding there and very happy I am to...

So glad you liked it Tiana, I just fell in love with the place the first time I saw it. Good luck with the wedding, and the future.

Where did it go? I TP'd there logged out because no textures would appear, and 2 minutes later when I logged back in it sent me home because it was no longer available and now a search says "none found" ??? What happened?

What happened? I went there a few mins ago, no problem at all, and it shows for me in Search, and on Map search. I have never seen the slighests hint of lag on that sim, so I guess it is a more general sl prob you re having. The only time I have not ben able to get there is when LL have reported general teleport probs in sl. Don't give up, it is really worth seeing! )

I have to agree with Tiana. I have just visited Hoini after looking at all the suggestions given in the other post about the best place in SL to propose, and Hoini beats them all, hands down.
I was met by Noriko, the sim owner who I IMed before I went, even though the sim is currently open. She couldn't have been more helpful. She took me first to the Scheherazade Gardens, wow, wow WOW!!! The most romantic garden in sl, by far. It is not overdone, the style is just superb, there are lots of little hidden romantic spots with very nice poseballs, and total privacy! Noriko closes the Gardens when a couple are there for the purpose of proposing.
Underneath the Gardens were the Catacombs, an awesome place, and you could immediately imagine a fantastic club there, but Noriko assured me that there were going to be no commercial establishments in Hoini, as it was 100% residential only.
I was then taken on a Magic Carpet ride (apparently all the tenants there get a free Magic Carpet, and when I say 'all' there are only 12 homes in the entire sim, all the most incredible SkyHomes, called the Rubiyat).
We then went to the Wizard's Tower, that stretches from below the cloud level, through the clouds, to just above it! And this is just the sim welcome area!
Next on down to the islands, with an amazing lagoon, with Arabian Dhows moored in the bay. I should add that the theme for the sim is the 1001 Arabian Nights, and you can really see it. The homes are decoreated with paintings showing scenes from the Arabian Nights - Aladdin, Sinbad, Ali Baba etc.
Standing at the edge of the lagoon is the impressive Shahryar Pavillions (Noriko told me that King Shahryar was the king who Scheherazade told her stories to, to keep alive, and break the curse). This place is just - well, words fail me! The pavillions have lots of alcoves built into it. Some have tables set for two, with incredible views, others have dancing, just for a couple, with over 100 music channels to choose from. Then there are the alcoves with cuddle rugs in them - my only thought was that they looked a little open these alcoves, even if the sim has very few people in it, but then, just to amaze me even more, Noriko told me to press a button on the wall, and this huge wall just materialised, giving compete privacy. To open it I just said, Open Sesame, omg, the designer of this sim thought of everything!!!
Before I left, Noriko told me that the lagoon had a secret. In the deepest part is a treasure chest, but guarded by an evil genii with a scimitar! But there is a way past him, and the treasure is definitely worth having, but she gave no clues as to how to get past him, or what the treasure was. I am now burning with curiosity!
What a fabulous day out, and I can thoroughly recommend it for a place to either make a proposal, or to get married, so come on guys, you know what we like!
The sim will be closed after this weekend, when the last two of 12 homes are completed and then rented, I wish I could afford the 1700 / week rent. Oh, well, one day....

A lush and beautiful place indeed. Have left some rather bad memories there so I am not going back, but I suggest everyone who has not been there to pay a visit.

Were three still available as of last night. Go pay it a visit. Noriko likes to talk to people and show them around, no strings attached. And yes, it is beautiful and amazing. Worth the trip just to see it, even if you don't plan to move in, and she won't mind at all. BTW, if you do move in, the rent amounts to a little less than US$6 a week at current exchange rates.

I'm a little confused.
People keep mentioning a good place to propose... but when I went there, it looked like the plots are for sale. How do others propose there if the spots are all rented out? Are the rentals meant to be temporary (I don't get that feeling standing here now.)

I think the OP meant they would make the "Garden" available on request while the property was still open to the public.

Are the rentals meant to be temporary (I don't get that feeling standing here now.) Hi BigRedWood, No plots are for sale in Hoini, there are only rentals, and they are all in the sky. The ScheheraZade gardens and the Shahryar Pavillions which everyone likes so much are there for the use of the tenants and their guests. When all the homes (12) are rented then the sim is closed to the public, until one becomes vacant again. However, when people came to visit the sim to see the SkyHomes they were amazed by how beautiful the facilities were, and one girl asked noriko if she could come back for a proposal. Noriko said 'yes', the girl posted about it in the forums, and Noriko now gets almost daily requests for proposal visits by couples, and several marriages are now also booked on Saturdays in the Pavillions. I have been caled into duty this Saturday. the bride, all dresses in white silks, and white veil (harem-style) will be flown on a white and gold Magic Carpet, piloted by yours truly, and i'm dressed as a Sheik, in flowing white and gold robes, and landing the Carpet in the Pavillions beside the waiting groom, who has no idea that this is going to happen (oops, hope he doesn't read the forums!!). Noriko is only too glad to open the sim to romantic couples for these kind of occasions. Just IM her. Last time I looked, about 20 mins ago, there were just two SkyHomes left. So visit while it is still open to the public!! L
