Unable to log in and lost inventory!!

I was just on SL a few minutes ago workin on my house. I tried to rez my tv receiver and it did'nt rez and never came back to my inventory, this is the second time this has happened to the exact receiver makin it my second receiver I had to buy so now I'm out another receiver and have to purchase another one. Well I was thinking that if I relogged maybe the receiver would be back into my inventory well I am unable to log back in. At the log in screen w/ the bar it stays at logging in for a cpl seconds than I on my taskbar it says SL is not responding so now I'm like WTF!? So I restart my pc thinkin its my pc and still no log in. WTF is goin on now with SL!? Anybody else havin these problems? Oh and what am I supposed to do bout my receiver Lindens? And dont tell me I have to buy another one cuz this was my second one I had to purchase and never did get back my first even after making a report.

yea I just read the latest blog and it mentioned the rezzing problem I stated in my previous post however I'm worried bout that item being lost forever. If it is somebody better cough up 500L for another receiver cuz I'll be damn if I have to spend another 500L (making that 1500L) just for a receiver. This is really pissin me the F*%& off!!

Well I am now back on SL however somebody is coughin up 500L for another receiver! It's not rezzed in my house and its nowhere in my inventory. Thanx alot SL!

This would probably be a good time to consider treating SL as basically a chat room. It's having another bad time, things are likely to fail.

YoDaddy, before coughing up another 500$L, please speak with the merchant that sold you the item. just explain the situation. He/she will see the previous purchases in thier logs and most merchants are real good to deal with. i am sure they understand Sl has some crap moments and may replace the missing item. I hope that helps ya.

I haven't lost any inventory yet, but I did manage to teleport to work just before everything went BLAARRGGHH!! So now I'm alone, in a nightclub, DJing to no one, dancing around like a ponce.

the joys of sl, u'd think they get a bigger server and stop the free trials to reduce numbers in sl. I was told in the test site when sl was down by a " veteren sl member" people numbers cause this. grrrr

I asked quite some time ago, on the Linden Answers, whether or not more or better machines might help things.

Torley assured me that more or better machines wouldn't help.

However, from everything I have read since, particularly today, I think my intuitive supposition that more or better machines would help is right.

Come to think of it, I can't think of much irl that more or better machines WOULDN'T help. Unless Torley meant that the entire program was so messed up that it wouldn't help to have it run on more or better machines. Even so, I do think it would have to help.

I'm with u on that one, I've been sayin the same thing for some time now. I mean C'mon, I play Xbox Live on my Xbox 360 and theres more ppl on at one time on Live than there are on SL during one day and Microsoft has no problems whatsoever with there servers crashing or games lagging or anything and I've been a Live member for over 1 year and have had 0 issues with it. So why cant SL invest in better servers? Something has gotta be up if there are soo many problems.
Also to the person who said that I should contact the creator of my receiver. I did that last time and he said he cant help since its a SL problem and to lo into SLExchange and get one off of there and he'll pay me a lil somethin back for a discount, well by that time I already bought another one (the one I just lost). Why should I have to keep buying items that I dont lose? I'm now tryin to get more $ to get another receiver which will make it 1500L I've spent on the same receiver which is pathetic but I like the tv set soo much that I refuse to use any other brand soo I guess I'm stuck either way. So all I gotta say is Thanx Alot SL.

I'm using my friends log in since I'm a free member and can't register.

Is there a way to get something missing back? I saved my complete house in my inventory about 10 hours ago because I need to move it to an island (didn't take a copy because I wanted to clear the land since it doesn't belong to me). I just logged in and the whole place is gone. Can't find it anywhere in my inventory) Is there any chance it will auto-return? I am a non-paying member because I wanted to test the game first. And I doubt I will ever pay for this inventory-deleting-game. From now on I will put everything of value on the grind so I can always take a copy when it dissapears from my inventory. Not the most lag-friendly solution but necessary.
