Land Confusion!

Ok all, here's one for you

Landlord has just bought a second island sim .. all very nice, no neighbouring sims until now

A second, empty island sim has appeared next to theirs, it's borders touch ours. Nobody can fly onto it, a blue box appears in the bottom right corner of the screen with no text in at all. There're no buy pass or banlines showing, but it's as though invisible ones are there. We looked in About Land, banlines aren't set to on, no avs are banned

This sim has one item on it owned by a Linden

It's actually listed as being claimed in 2004 but owned by a new account

Any ideas people?

Its a brand spankin' new island about to meet its owner.

The owner has to open the island up to public access. I am sure it will be open very soon.

According to the Land Store FAQ which states...

Q - Can you reserve next to another reservation?

A - Reservations cannot be placed beside other reservations.

&

Q - Can someone reserve a space next to me without my permission?

A - Just like the current standards, Linden lab will not place another region next to yours (no touching borders) unless you give your permission.

They are permitted to place another Island 'diagonally' opposite yours where the corners of the sims touch, but they are not permitted to place another Island alongside. Sounds like grounds for free relocation to me, I recently raised a query about a similar matter and was given free relocation if I wanted it (I'm still thinking about it).

As for what it is..it's one of those 'watch this space' moments I guess..

All sorted =) It was an expired sim, we were confused cause we didn't think they could put one near ours. Jack Linden very quickly removed it, all is well =)

I have no idea how it appeared there, thought maybe it was sl's lost property sim =)
