The grid's down, LL are fixing the group PM bug. I don't remember seeing them announce that they were going to do that, so I'm wondering if it's a response to the oppenletter project. I know they were going to do this anyway, they'd already said they were working on a fix for the bug, but the timing's got me thinking.
What do you think?

A company this good at not answering phones are hardly likely to get scared because of a letter that may or may not have been signed by all the people listed. I think more likely, the group IM bug was one that they wouldn't have left in anyway. It probably affected them just as much, with lindens having to message each other on MSN or something  |

It was inevitable that they had to take it down, and you know, it being Wednesday and all.. the thinking was most likely, "hey, let's get this thing out of the way before the weekend."
To schedule a grid shutdown based on a letter accompanied by a couple thousand (unverified) signatures would be somewhat irresponsible. Their response to the letter begins with the Town Hall tomorrow. We'll see where it goes from there.

It's also worth pointing out that the group PM bug is the one I've been complaining about recently, it could be that LL saw my posts and decided not to mess with me. You might even say I'm somthing of a hero, although I don't think I did anything special, I just did what I could.
