Does anyone use Google Spreadsheet, or know where I can get a template for SL to use on Google Spreadsheets?
I just want to track my daily income from SL and SLX with it, nothing fancy. But I have no idea how to create one from scratch.
I don't want to use a vendor system, I don't think it would work for me as I make a significant portion of my Lindens from TRU and SLX and the vendor system can't track those things.
I also don't need (at this point) to keep track of each individual item, just daily totals. It seemed simple, until I tried to do it, lol.

I'm not sure I understand you, but on the secondlife web page from your account take a look at transactions and see if that meets your needs.

Yeah, I should have mentioned I do use that to see what I've made every day in SL. I take the totals I add up from there (I have to add it up by hand, because there are things in their totals I don't include). Then I go to SLX and get my total sales for the day (much easier to do, I don't have to add it up myself). as the day goes on, I update the totals for the day on a simple list I keep. What I'd like is a Google Spreadsheet that I can input daily earnings that I calculate from both sources, then the spreadsheet will list the daily totals and automatically total (maybe even chart) the income for weekly and monthly income. Simple, right?

We use google spreadsheets. If you have a gmail account, at the top of the gmail page is a link for 'documents'. Just click there and you're in google spreadsheets. If you are used to using Excel, this isn't exactly the same. It took a bit of getting used to, BUT if you worry about hardware failures, it's another nice source of backups. Ah, someone actually uses this, great! I tried yesterday to use it but have no idea how to create a document/spreadsheet that will do what I want it to do...I am not familiar with Excell, and all I have on my PC is MS Word, and while it may be possible to create a spreadsheet with it, I have no idea how to do that either.
I feel like an idiot, because I can't even seem to figure it out from the instructions. I was thinking that there was a way to import some sort of template for either a document or spreadsheet. I could be wrong about that, but if it is possible, that's what I'm hoping to find.
If it isn't possible to import a template, can you tell me how to set up a spreadsheet? I got stuck when I tried to change the labels at the top where it goes from a to z - I thought this is where I should put the date. When it wouldn't work, I tried to make the next row into a row of dates, and I thought it should automatically populate the rest of the row once I put in the first date and changed all the cells in that row to date fields, but it didn't...so then I realised it was beyond me, and started looking for help and found very little explanation, not enough to get me to where I could create even a simple little list. I came to this forum, hoping someone here had already used this and could help me out.
So if you can't provide a template, or instuctions on how to create this thing, maybe you could tell me where to find some sort of tutorial on how to do it? I sure would appreciate it!

Hi, why not just use Excel. You can down load your your SL transaction history staight into it and then format the spread sheet to your needs. i do not know about SLx but would have thought that it would provide the same facility.

Because I don't have Excel, only MS Word EDIT: so I figured out that everyone has Excel as it is part of MS Word. That's about as far as I got.
