Q: Reselling boxed objects

OK, probably I am just stupid (again :-)) but I just don't get it to work.

I created an object which needs to be boxed. The object is no mod, no copy, but transfer. I placed it alongside some other stuff (documentation, a few gestures) in a box, set next owner's rights, placed the box in a vendor, all is fine.

(box object1 object 2 ...)

Now I want a friend to resell this box. Whatever rights I set to it, she can't get it to be buyable. What would I have to do, what would she have to do?

As if that wouldn't nag me enough, I packed these boxed objects in a larger container to sell it at larger quantities (and a rabate, of course :-))

{container (box1 object1 object2 ...) (box1 object1 object2 ...) ...) }

Again, which rights would I have to set, which would she have to set?

And finally (*sigh*) - if she were to sell Box and/or Container in a Vendor, is that the same as selling it directly?

Thank you for your time, any help is appreciated! :-))

The issue is that you have full-rights to the object and can give or sell additional copies at will, but your friend gets restricted permissions when you give it to her. If you want her to be able to sell it directly, you need to give her a full-perms copy and she sets that back to restricted permissions before selling it. However, do you want her to be the one selling the object and getting the money? If you're simply wanting to sell your object in her store, you could put the vendor there yourself.

No, I don't want to place a vendor in her shop, she's more a salesperson :-)) It's fine if she gets the cash, I can trust her there.

Would I need to give full rights on the box/container, or each and any single item boxed, plus box, plus outlying container?

Yes, if she is to sell it for you, she needs the same perms you have. If you have full perms, she'll need full perms. This includes the items inside.

You can also use APEZ or JEVN

Both systems can be set up so that you can allow other people to place out their vendors and sell your items on a commission basis. I am partial to APEZ but both of you would have to get the APEZ setup.

JEVN allows you to create a "Catalog" in single prim OR Vendor form and pass it on to other people so they can buy your items ata discount or sell your items and receieve the commission.

Me and My sis use both these systems and becasue of it we VERY Easily split payments to us without having to mess aorund with perms OR having 2 seperate setups to sell the same item. If we update a build we only have one server to update and all the vendors / Catalogs are automatically upgraded. I think we spent 3k for JEVN/JENC and about the same for APEZ so it was def money well spent.
