I buried my house :/

I was positioning my house with the xyz numbers and I sent it 25 underground, I have dug two huge holes in the yard and can't retrieve it, I can see the outline with show objects but I can't get to it. Is there any way to get it back? TIA

Two ways:

(if you don't see the client menu: Ctrl-Alt-D on a PC ; Ctrl-Alt-Shift-D on a Mac)

* Client / Rendering / Types: uncheck Surface Patch - that will hide the land; recheck to get things back to normal

* Client / Disable Camera Constraints - side-effect of this is that you can just cam under the land

If the house is too far away from you, you may need to Client / Limit Selection Distance (not all sure of the exact wording)

Oh my, my cup of tea is all over the keyboard now. Had such strange visions of you with a spade trying to dig your house out lol

A quicker shortcut is CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-5 to toggle land on and off................

On some European keyboards, in order to get a 5 you have to hold down shift which makes the combination impossible to hit on those keyboards.

You run into some strange situations when you're asking someone to make a key combination and then it doesn't do anything for them if you're not aware of that .
