Hello ,
I beg for help on this issue folks. I have been making poses and animations using poser6 for a while now with few major problems. I started to sell them in Markets and Shops. They all work fine. BUT, if a customer wants to use them in a gesture they cannot. If they try to use the UUID number, it is greyed out. They cannot even 'see' the animation in the make new gesture selection tab.
I tried changing the names, properties and so forth but to no avail.
So I have had to shut my shops and Markets. Can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong?
Buy the way, I CAN use my poses and animations in MY gestures. but others cannot. Also my customers CAN use the play in world or play locally, that bit works ok.
Please help.
Kindest regards
Carl

I'm not sure, but I think the issue is that the Poses need to have Transfer permissions. I know Sounds do. (Which on a side note to LL: that is just dumb).
What permissions do you sell your poses and animations with?
Do you have a trusted friend you can "sell" poses with different permissions to? (Even permissions you do not think you want ot sell as, just to test functionablity).
If a Full Perm pose/animation of yours can not be used in a guesture, check again after today's update (wasn't anythign in the list of this as a fix, but sometimes things aren't listed) and if you get the same problem this evening, file a Bug Report and contact Live Help requesting a technical Linden Liason to assist you in checking your account. If no Linden is available in Live Help, call/e-mail Support.

Hi floks
Thanks for the replies so far.
I have and alt and a sister in sl. They report to me that it is indeed the case that they cannot load up the animations into gestures either. So i dont know what i am doing wrong.
Any other tips would be appreciated. Thanks

Play with the permissins with an alt, to see what works, or simply go buy an animation from a well known vendor and see what they set the perms at, or hell , even ask them.

Actually not just trans, to use an animation in a gesture you must have full permissions. As you say, this is stupid, but how it is. People can't purchase an animation in a store and make their own gesture with it, the idea is that the animator makes a gesture and sells it. I encountered this issue once with one customer. Fortunately for me, when I found documentation in the knowledgebase explaining how gestures are created, the customer was just like "huh, I guess I can't use this animation in a gesture."
