Wow, were the hosts and guests on valium? Here is a rough transcript of key points.

The "yin" of digitizing and its effect upon us.
Digital video is easier to work with than analog. Can we digitize everything? Why? The world was here before us. Atoms are too small to simulate. [Flies around a "little island"]

[interruption due to IMs... note about terrible failure "yesterday"]

Atomicity of prims.
[waits for prim to rez] Colors prim, makes it SHINY, shear, twists, cuts. Makes prim physical and throws it. Adds a script to change color on touch. Prim "can do all kinds of internet things". Clouds in sky are fluid simulation. 1MW to run SL. Shows map (== 2 San Franciscos). One prim isn't too interesting, emergent properties from many. Sixteen original sims 5k now. SL takes a lot of computing power and you have no content said the investors at first. Everybody fails to understand emergence. LL hasn't changed tech much, has counted on customers to create content.
