What happened to Catacombs Island?

It's a bit strange when a sim one is used to visiting suddenly disappears off the map, together with all its content. Presumbaly it's rather a pain for the shop owners in the mall to suddenly see the outlet they put up vanish.

It would be nice if there was someone where one could read news about sims going offline (and why) and others coming online. Is there anywhere like that?

catacombs island was like a graveyard for the last 4 or so months i believe it was sold about a month almost 2 months ago

Well, it vanished off the map within the last two weeks.
