I was camping the other day and I noticed 5 other campers all dressed the same , same hair and shoes and pants and shirt and all joined on 5/22/07. Next thing I knew the whole entire sim was ejected by the owner and I believe this to be the case so how in the world could one person run that many clients at onetime or do you think that got that many computers at home and sign each alt into sl? I would image if they are running that many on one computer they got one bad ass computer?

Bots. They don't display any graphics or download very much, so you could run 20 and not really notice.

Camping isnt so hard on the pc, once you get sat down. If you can log in right next to the chair so all you have to do is rclick/sit you can get away with running several avas/clients on one PC. I have succesfully camped 6 avas/clients from an AMD2200+ ,1.2ram, GeForce 7600SE 512. It felt like i could of gotten one or two more there, but i had me, an alt, 2 friends, and a family member and their alt. That was all the people i could round up to let me try it with their ava. I many times run myself and an alt smoothly from that same PC when I am setting up products. I do however sometimes use a second PC for that alt, if I am running Poser, SL, and PhotoShop at the same time on the PC, a second client doesnt run too well. Hm, maybe a trip to Bestbuy for another stick of ram would help that....

4 gigs of RAM makes a huge difference, worth the bucks.
For real flexibility, though, multiple CPUs work well.

From: Chas Connolly You we're camping? Yes I am a camper now since I don't feel the need to spend RL dollars in this game anymore and believe me I have spent upto $300 US every month when I first joined and for the first 7 mos I did that and now with all the issues I figure I need to get something back out of this game. Interesting about the bots tho and I can barely run sl at time on one client let alone try several "sighs"

I can have 3 instances of SL running on my two year old machine.
